My fascination with Japan started when I was a teenager. You guessed it, I read the Shogun. It hit me like a ton of bricks and for the next 10 years, I dreamed about visiting Japan. It happened suddenly when I had to leave my beloved New York City for a 2 months stint in Japan. This turned into the best 5 years of my life.
Cannot consider myself an expert in this city, but I’ve seen enough to be of help to travelers looking for an amazing area to explore. There are countless attractions in Yokohama and I hope to convince you to give it a try.
Yokohama150.org was created as a tribute to one of Japan’s most vibrant and exciting cities, Yokohama. Not as famed as Tokyo, Yokohama has an amazing cosmopolitan atmosphere, amazing tourist attractions, and exciting history.
